Jivamukti Yoga

I was hired to do UX Design for the famous Jivamukti Yoga school. Their current website had many problems with information architecture and a confusing layout. Students and teachers alike were having a hard time using it to do simple things like find classes or schedule events.

After an extensive amount of UX research, prototyping, and wireframing we came to the conclusion that the best idea would be to create a responsive site that works like an app. Below are the results.

Design Process

Working from paper sketches allowed us to exhaust some of the less user friendly ideas we had in the early stages. We turned the best ideas into lo-fidelity wire frames and uploaded them into InVision to make prototypes for user testing. After testing our ideas with the yoga school’s staff and students. User testing gave of us insight into the best ideas to incorporate into the final design.
